The 16th edition of the most spectacular celebration of Indian Cinema globally, the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) held their annual awards ceremony on 7 June 2015 in the Putra Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The S-CROSS & IIFA AWARDS was anchored by the “Gunday” duo Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor who brought their style of mischief, humour and repartee to the event.

The S-CROSS IIFA AWARDS and the IIFA ROCKS were directed by Wizcraft International Entertainment, choreographed by Shiamak Davar and will be broadcast for the first time on India’s leading hindi entertainment channel, Colors Viacom18.
This year's nominations included some exceptional films that took the box-office by storm. Votes for award nominations were cast by members of the film fraternity in March 2015.
The heart-warming romantic comedy 2 States, based on the Chetan Bhagat novel 2 States: The Story of My Marriage, led the polls with 9 nominations. Following closely was Vishal Bhardwaj’s hard-hitting drama Haider, an adaptation of Shakespeare's Hamlet, which garnered 8 nominations.
Rajkumar Hirani’s satirical science fiction comedy PK achieved 6 nominations and the comedy drama Queen, a journey of self-discovery, received 5 nominations. Some of the other noteworthy nominees include Imtiaz Ali’s Highway and Ek Villain.

Speaking on the nominees, Andre Timmins, Director – Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, said,

The nominees were selected during the IIFA Voting Weekend, held this year 13-15 March. Each year over 1000 industry stalwarts, actors, directors, producers, technicians and composers cast their votes, which decide the nominations for the awards. Year after year, the IIFA management invites the Academy members and the Film Industry to cast their votes and shortlist nominations in the category of the Popular Awards. The Voting Weekend also derives the Technical Award winners.
IIFA returned to the culturally diverse country of Malaysia after 13 years where fans and enthusiasts from around the world saw their favorite stars descend into Kuala Lumpur during the Videocon D2H IIFA Weekend & Awards which took place at Stadium Putra in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 5-7 June 2015.
